Installation Guide

FITTING THE WEEDWAKKA The Weedwakka is installed in the same manner as a conventional steel blade, and has the same mounting hole diameter as the blade.

1) Removing the nylon cord head.

The Weedwakka can be fitted to straight shaft brushcutters without any adaptor (other than the spacing washer required for brushcutters with a 20mm hole in the blade. This washer is included in every pack).

If you have a problem fitting the Weedwakka, the most likely cause is that, in removing the nylon cord head, the shaft in the centre of the head has been left on the brushcutter. This is a common problem, and has confused many people.

The correct way to remove the nylon cord head is to grasp the entire head and rotate it clockwise. Do not dismantle the head. There is usually a hole in the top or side of the gearbox into which a pin can be inserted to prevent the shaft rotating.

2) Installing the Weedwakka. The diagrams below show a typical brushcutter head, with the nylon head removed and the Weedwakka positioned over the locating spigot. The only step remaining is to place the Weedwakka on the spigot, replace the clamping washer and tighten the left hand threaded nut. Please remember, when fitting the MultiCut, to place it on the spigot so that the open side of the links faces towards the gearbox (follow the instructions on the sticker).
